Private tutor in Wellesley, MA
BSc - BSc, Architecture , GCME London - GCME BEd CDEM, Math Education
I graduated from King's College in London with a degree in architecture, as well as educational degrees in math and material design. For the past thirty years, I've been working as a teacher in both London and Massachusetts. During this time, I've worked primarily with students at the middle school level. After spending some time teaching, I decided to go back to college and receive my master's degree in evaluation and assessment. Shortly thereafter, I started working as an adjunct professor where I taught developmental math to community college students. As a lifelong educator, I believe that one of the most important roles of being a teacher is to inspire students to love education. Math is a subject that's present in every aspect of our lives, and when you teach it in a manner that people can relate to and use outside of the classroom, they're more likely understand it. For this reason, I believe that it's important to establish a rapport with students so that you're able to better understand what makes them tick, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Along with teaching various math disciplines, I've also helped a number of students prepare for college entrance exams in one-on-one and classroom settings.
